Cinda Hanbuch Pinkerton and I would like to invite you all to a community input meeting centered on two metrics that we are proposing be used to measure our work to connect children to nature through the newly formed Dayton Regional Green.
Please join us on Tuesday April 14th, at the Five Rivers MetroPark Office at 409 E Monument Ave Third Floor, Dayton in room 306 (large classroom). We will meet from 2-4 PM.
To attend, You do not need to be on the DRG Connect To Nature Task Group Committee, nor is attending this input meeting a commitment to join. However, our committee would like some general advice from you before proceeding to the next phase of our work. Most of you have been contacted due to your relationship with Miami Valley Leave No Child Inside and also a few from contact with DRG or with Wright State.
Our current committee includes Katy Malcolm, Linda Ramey, Katrina Arnold Cinda and myself.
Two metrics will be discussed.
Measuring organizational support for the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights and follow up endorsements provided by DRG for work those organizations might do to enable these rights for children.
And Measuring public access to nature opportunities for children in the DRG region with a mapping tool.
Kevin Hallinan with DRG will be attending to advise us on following up with our metrics.
Please RSVP with Cinda or myself. I can be reached at Doug.Horvath@metroparks.org
